Happy 2010!

I decided to try to make a quilt! I have played with quilting before. One Christmas I made Log Cabin hot pads for every one and had a lot of fun doing it.

What are you thankful for today? My Square foot garden- it's much bigger now and covered in yellow pear and cherry tomatoes but it's too hot here to walk down and take a new picture.

Thrifty Weekend

This weekend I decided to paint the chairs my sister gave me a couple of summers ago. I had hoped to buy some new patio furniture this summer but it is just not in the cards. So what to do with these old things?

A little bit of paint and I have new furniture!!! It's a little brighter than I envisioned but they are growing on me. I am thinking about making some cushions for them.
